This website is owned and operated by LeonEast Roofing & Building Limited , a limited company registered in England and Wales. Any contract for surveys, quotations or roofing work arising from this website is made directly with us.

Information on this site

The guidance, price bands and local information published here are provided in good faith and in general terms. They are not a substitute for a survey of your particular roof, and nothing on this website constitutes a quotation or an offer to carry out work at a stated price. Price ranges are indicative and intended to help you budget and compare quotations sensibly.

Where we refer to planning rules, conservation areas, Article 4 directions or building regulations, we do so to help you know what to check. Those rules change and their application depends on your specific property, so please confirm the position with the relevant local authority before relying on it.

Surveys and quotations

Surveys are carried out free of charge and place you under no obligation. A quotation issued following a survey is fixed for the work described in it and remains open for thirty days unless it states otherwise. It covers only what is itemised. Where a defect is genuinely concealed and cannot be identified until the covering is opened up - for example rot in rafter feet or a wall plate, or an unsound chimney - the quotation will say so, and any additional work will be described, priced and agreed with you in writing before it is carried out.

Carrying out the work

We will agree a start date with you and keep you informed if weather prevents work from proceeding, which on roofing it sometimes will. We will not leave a roof open overnight. Access equipment remains our responsibility and must not be used or altered by anyone else. Please keep the working area clear and, where relevant, keep children and pets away from it while we are on site.

Payment

Repairs are invoiced on completion and payable within the period stated on the invoice. On larger works such as a full re-roof, where materials and access are purchased in advance, staged payments may apply; the stages and amounts will be set out on the quotation before you accept it. Title in materials passes to you on payment. We do not ask for large cash deposits.

The workmanship guarantee

Work we complete carries a 10 year guarantee on our workmanship, issued to you in writing at completion. If a defect arises in that workmanship within the guarantee period we will return and put it right at no cost to you.

The guarantee covers our work. It does not cover a new and unrelated defect elsewhere on the roof, damage caused by a subsequent storm or other event, damage caused by third parties working on the roof after us, or failure arising from lack of ordinary maintenance such as blocked gutters. Materials carry their manufacturers' own warranties on their own terms, and the applicable warranty will be identified in your completion paperwork.

Your cancellation rights

Where a contract is agreed away from our business premises - which for a domestic roofing job it usually is - you have a statutory right to cancel within fourteen days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you have asked us in writing to begin work within that period and then cancel, we may charge for the work already carried out. Your cancellation rights will be set out with your quotation.

Liability

We maintain public liability insurance. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including the right to work carried out with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, are not affected by anything on this page.

Governing law

These terms and any contract arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
